You know the mornings…you NEED to get out of the house quickly and the kids. are. moving. in. slow. motion. AHHHHHH!

I can’t help you with ways to get them out of bed, but breakfast in the car can save a lot of time. The trick is it has to be food that will end up IN your kid instead of all over your car. Most to-go options aren’t filling and are far from healthy, but we found one option this Summer at our Spartan race.

Munk Pack Oatmeal: whole grain, certified gluten free, non-GMO and vegan…so they’ll work in many special diets too. Each pouch is around 100 calories, contains omega 3 from flax and the pouches are BPA free. They use fruit juice concentrate as a sweetener. Our kids loved them, but if your child is picky about texture they may not like these, especially if they’re used to apple sauce or pureed fruit in pouches like this. This is oatmeal so it does have a slightly lumpy texture.

Interested to try some? Amazon carries them so you don’t even need to go grocery shopping. 🙂 Here’s the link…

PS I’m not receiving any profit from Munk Pouches or Amazon…just sharing a resource!

Kim

Hi, my name is Kim. I live in Iowa with my husband and five kids. I have a bachelor’s in biology and a masters in science education, both from the university of Iowa. Currently, I am proud to be called a homemaker and take my job seriously. I homeschool our school age kids including our special needs daughter. My days are not empty and our life is anything but boring.
