Here’s part 2 of my client’s awesomeness! 🙂 When this comment came in last week it made my day because it rings with FREEDOM: freedom from old habits, freedom from not knowing how to make healthy choices that fit into her life, freedom from feeling like she had to be ‘perfect’ to make any progress. Rachael has been working with me for 10 months and she’s practiced these lessons many times until they’ve gone from lessons to the truth she’s living. The (more!) awesome part, is that she’s also influencing her family, day by day, as they watch her live out healthy choices.
“Its cool how all of the tools that I have been learning from PN have really gotten into my brain. I know what I need to do if I want to be at a healthier weight and now all I need to do is stick to it. I know I shouldn’t be focused on the numbers on the scale because it doesn’t tell you the truth of how healthy you are but it does give me some extra motivation to keep on following the habits. I still give myself some room and may have a meal that doesn’t follow the “rules” but it no longer throws me off into despair. It helps me to get up the next morning and start fresh with a new day.”
In the midst of buying healthier food, decreasing the stress that drives us to desperate solutions and sneaking in 5-10 minutes of activity a day, suddenly we realize our bodies are changing. That’s exactly what happened for Lindsey recently when her Fit Bit showed her the change in her resting heart rate! We can’t see our internal organs so we forget that what we put in our mouths affects them too.
“…something that I was just noticing as I was going though my fit bit is my resting heart rate since January has also decreased:) it’s down to 64 as an average from 71-73 in January. Sometimes it’s the little things:)”
As the weather warms up, we have a wider selection of fresh produce and sunny days wake us Northerners up I can’t wait to see what else these ladies accomplish!
