Our Spring Cleaning For Your Health Challenge wrapped this weekend and it was a GREAT group!

Over the course of 14 days we consumed over 210 servings of produce and 126 glasses of water...and that doesn’t include all the extra produce/water our families consumed simply because it’s what we were serving. 🙂 We all came away with at least 1 new recipe or idea for getting veggies into our day, proved we could face weekends with self control with a little prep work and worked through hang ups about vegetables at breakfast. Our ‘don’t drink calories’ day was humorous…we ALL messed it up with our morning beverage, which turned out to be a great reminder that we can start back over NOW instead of trashing a whole day’s worth of choices. And, despite the fact that I only challenged us to move more for 1 day, all of us ended up finding ways to sneak in some activity. That pattern has shown up in every group I’ve ever worked with and it’s so fun to see!

As you read this you might think, ‘That’s great for them…their life probably isn’t anything like mine. There’s no way I could do that.’ Ummm….no. Our group included:

-stay at home moms with kids from infant to high school

-working moms with kids from infant to adult

-soccer, volleyball, track, gymnastics, piano, enrichment classes and Awana nights….we drive A LOT!

-birthdays, travel (for work and family), illness and spouses working overtime

-snow storms…which produced everything from general grumpiness to depression

You get the point. It was a group of real women with real families and real awesomeness and stressors. They kept going and I couldn’t be more proud of them!
